I would like to tell you about Christmas and New Year. My family always decorates Christmas Tree on 29 of December. My mum cooks some dishes, such as “Herring under a fur coat”, olivie, salad with crab sticks and a lot of pies. We also make a snowman, have a snowball fight with friends and visit relatives. My granny goes to our house and we together celebrate the New Year. We also celebrate the New Year and Christmas at school. We always decorate our classroom: cut paper snowflakes, decorate the Christmas Tree. Before winter holidays our classmates create different quizzes. We also eat sweets and give our teachers small gifts such as Christmas cards. With classmates we play “Secret Santa”. The aim of the game is to small presents to a person, who doesn’t know that you are his secret Santa. I think that this game is very interesting.
On 31th of December I usually give presents to my friends. I also listen to my favourite genre of music – rock and heavy metal. Last New Year I listened to cool song “Centuries” and drew. I also watched fireworks and a speech of our president. I am going to celebrate this New Year with my the best friend Daria. We are going to walk near my house. After that my parents, grandmother and I are going to go to the Nevskiy Avenue. We are going to watch fireworks and admire the beauty of our city.

I like winter holidays very much. The weather is very magic in our country now. We have much snow, so we play snowball. Such weather is 
wonderful for Christmas time. We are planning to spend holidays in our townhouse not far from Saint-Petersburg.
Every year I am waiting for this time to decorate the Christmas tree, as well as our house with candles, streamers, sweets. It is very interesting to prepare gifts for my family and friends. It takes at about two weeks before New Year to make presents by hand and buy some souvenirs on market.
We have some family tradition to bake Christmas pie all together. It turns out to be very beautiful and delicious.Every year we decorate our classroom with paper snowflakes, Christmas tree and New Year`s tinsel. It is a funny, wonderful, amazing time!

I spent my holidays wonderfully! On December 31 my family and I celebrated the New Year. My mother made very tasty salads. I baked an apple pie. It was very tasty! At eleven o’clock my family sat at the table and we started to eat. Five minutes to twelve we listened to the President’s speech. After midnight we went outside. We made a snowman and watched fireworks. My New Year was excellent!

On the 31st December my family and I celebrated the New Year.
We listened to the New Year speech of the President of Russia, then we had delicious meals and my parents, friends and I went for a walk at night. We watched fireworks and played snowballs.
On holiday my friends and I went to Palace Square to see a laser show. It was great and so beautiful! Also we went to the circus and to the cinema. I liked my holiday very much!

New Year is a holiday that we are always looking forward to. As for me and my family, we consider the New Year a family holiday and always spend it together.
On New Year’s Eve we go to my grandmother’s country house. Usually, in winter we have a lot of snow. We play snowballs, make snowmen, sled and ski. We cook a lot of delicious food for the New Year. We decorate a big Christmas tree in the yard and in the house too. And at 12 o’clock in the morning we all gather at the TV and wait for the congratulation of the president. After that, we see off the old year, and then we give gifts to each other.
I really love the New Year.

During the winter holidays we celebrate the New Year and Christmas. We celebrated the New Year at home. The weather was cold and we had a lot of snow. We put the Christmas tree. My mother and I decorated it with wonderful toys and lights. At midnight Ded Moroz put gifts under that tree. We cooked a lot of tasty dishes. The next day we went to the circus and to the cinema and also walked around the city.
Sometimes we went to skate, play hockey, sledding.

I want to tell you how my family and I are preparing for the New Year. In mid-December, we decorate the Christmas tree and decorate the whole apartment.

On the same day with classmates, we gathered to decorate the classroom. My friends and I put a Christmas tree at the end of the class, the guys hung garlands and balloons on it. Snowmen and snowflakes were put on the windows.
And at home they hung a garland on all the walls and put a big Christmas tree right up to the ceiling, at night the garlands on it glow and New Year’s music plays quietly. I would like to tell you how I celebrated the New Year and how I spent my winter holiday.
On the eve of the New year our family decorated the apartment, the Christmas tree and set the table. Then at 23:55 traditionally we were shown the speech of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. After that, the snow maiden (Snegurochka) came and gave us presents. Then we went outside to light fireworks.
During the holidays I had a lot of fun: we with my friends often walked and we slide down a big snowy hill. I went to the cinema and went skating.
